MULTIPLE REGION TRAUmA DEVICE
PATENT PENDING
The MRTD 16 (MULTIPLE REGION TRAUMA DEVICE) is used for major to minor hemorrhaging, entry/exit wounds, puncture wounds and lacerations in the following regions: Thoracic, Mammary, Abdominal, Umbilical, Coxal, Pubic, Inguinal, Axillary, Femoral, Sternal, Brachial, Dorsal, Lumbar, Sacral, Acromial and Gluteal. The MRTD 16 can also be used for dislocations, pelvic fractures/breaks, cramps and as a pneumatic junctional tourniquet. The MRTD 16 can be used on K9 (police/military dogs) as well.
The MRTD 16 is unique in that with using its moveable and removable pucks, it can apply direct, pinpoint pressure or indirect pressure to wounds in a very large array of areas/regions to aid in different configurations. A fractional amount of pressure to a very large amount of pressure can be applied. In some instances in particular wounds, it can allow blood flow to limbs, around the wounded area-where a standard tourniquet cuts all circulation. It has the ability to stay on the body, where an individual may be able to still move or walk on their own with it on them and not have it fall away.
